Full-coverage car insurance includes collision and comprehensive coverages on top of liability. State law doesn’t require full-coverage car insurance, but many lenders and lessors do. Consider getting it even if it’s not required if your vehicle is new or expensive.

- $20,000 of bodily injury liability coverage per person
- $40,000 of bodily injury liability coverage per accident
- $5,000 of property damage liability coverage
They also need the same amounts of uninsured motorist coverage.
Note that these amounts may not be enough if you’re involved in a serious accident. Because of that, QuoteWizard recommends 100/300/100 car insurance:
- $100,000 of bodily injury liability coverage per person
- $300,000 of bodily injury liability coverage per accident
- $100,000 of property damage liability coverage
Also, if your vehicle is new, expensive or expensive to repair, consider getting collision and comprehensive car insurance coverage as well as liability coverage.
